What can Your Personal Satellite do?

Your Personal Satellite is a 2-in-1 educational construction set and a model of a real satellite.

You can assemble your personal satellite right at home and control it in the same way as real satellites – with the help of special software that you configure yourself. What’s more, you will learn the basics of electronics, programming, physics, orbital mechanics, and other skills as you complete special tasks.

What can your personal satellite do?
Your personal satellite consists of a number of sensors and controls that will teach you the basics of working with real satellites.

There’s a camera on board that can take pictures at your command – it’s not just a matter of pressing a button like a phone – you program the camera yourself, just like real satellites. But don’t worry, we’ll provide you with instructions and fun tasks to get you started, even if you don’t have any coding skills.

You can also light your own star by programming it with a special command – for this purpose, the satellite has a special powerful LED on board that emits light and has a spectrum similar to that of our Sun.

Light sensors – photodiodes – will show you how the satellite is located relative to the Sun and the Earth.

The accelerometer and gyroscope sensors will help you navigate in space.

For more accurate positioning, your personal satellite is equipped with a magnetic compass.

The satellite has temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors to help you learn about your environment. The pressure sensor is a barometer, which also helps you measure altitude.

The satellite has its own accurate clock. You will need it to program the satellite to perform your tasks at the time you specify.

Usually satellites do not execute commands immediately, they need to be programmed to do so when they fly over a given point on Earth at a given time.

The satellite is equipped with its own power system and battery, and by monitoring their parameters, you will know how much energy is left and when the satellite needs to be recharged. The satellite is switched on, just like the real ones, using the RBF (Remove Before Flight) mechanism.

But that’s not all: in the future, your personal satellite can be expanded with additional modules.

Moreover, we have prepared versions of the satellite with a special design, a special case for parts and other surprises for those who want to get the most out of its functions and the latest look.
